Where the idea came from.
The Weird Gripper began as research into alternative approaches to robotic manipulation.

Instead of asking:

"How do we build a robotic hand?"

we asked:
​
"What's the simplest way to grip the product?"
​
That question led us towards a completely different approach to handling difficult materials and products.

Today we're developing specialist gripping technology for applications where conventional vacuum and finger grippers can struggle.
